HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M will return home for yet another home series, starting on Friday afternoon as the Bulldogs host Southwestern Athletic Conference opponent Jackson State for three games over the weekend at the Bulldog Baseball Field.
 
The series will begin at 2 p.m. for games one and two, followed by a 1 p.m. start for the series finale on Sunday afternoon.
 
A&M (11-20, 2-11 SWAC) will look to end its five-game slide following losses to Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, and Murray State over the past month. When the two programs last met in Jackson earlier this year, the Bulldogs took two of the three games to start conference play in a series held on March 17-19.
  
Meanwhile, Jackson State (19-16, 4-11 SWAC) also enters the weekend on with a losing streak of four games, after being swept on the road at Alabama State followed by a non-conference loss to Southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday.

The series will prove to be a crucial stint in terms of conference standings, as the teams are separated by just two games in the SWAC East. The winner of the series will have an edge in making the SWAC Tournament, that takes the top four seeds from each division.
