ITTA BENA, Miss. __ Game two of the series between Alabama A&M and Mississippi Valley State was suspended after seven innings due to weather and field conditions. The Delta Devils led 9-7 at the stoppage of play.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring with two runs in the first inning, as
Jalen Ford walked to start the game and later scored on an RBI single to left field by
Tommy Easley. After
Chevalier Dorris drew a two-out walk, Easley advanced to third and scored on wild pitches for the second run.

MVSU answered in the bottom of the first with a pair of runs of its own to tie the game, before taking the lead with a third score in the second.

Mekhi Lloyd and Easley,
Blake Martin advanced both runners into scoring position with a sacrifice bunt before Dorris drew his second walk to load the bases.
Chandler Stocking hit a sacrifice fly to right field to tie the game again at 3-3.

The Delta Devils regained the advantage in the bottom of the third, adding a pair of runs in the inning, before gaining control of the game with a four-run fourth. The first two runs came off an RBI single with the bases loaded, while the last two came off an error with one out for a 9-3 score.

A&M rallied in the sixth inning, loading the bases with a two-out walks from Easley before three runs scored off a combination of a Dorris single to right field and a fielding error. Stocking singled to left to bring home the next run to make the score 9-7 after six. The game was suspended in the bottom of the seventh, due to weather and field conditions and will resume on Sunday.
