MONTGOMERY, ALA. – Coming off a midweek loss in the final non-conference game of the year against UT Martin, Alabama A&M baseball will continue their road stretch with a three-game series against rival Alabama State starting Friday evening at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex.
Â
The weekend's contests will all be broadcast on the Hornets Sports Network and can be followed live through live stats. First pitch for the opening game is set for 6 p.m., followed by another 6 p.m. start time on Saturday and a 1 p.m. start in the series finale on Sunday afternoon.
Â
The Bulldogs Alabama A&M (12-30, 3-20 SWAC) will look to end its ten-game losing streaking following a string of conference losses, before their most recent against the Skyhawks. Meanwhile, Alabama State (34-15, 21-3 SWAC) enters the weekend on a seven-game winning streak, after beating UAB, Mississippi Valley State and Florida A&M most recently.
Â
The two programs met earlier this season in Huntsville as the Hornets took all three games of the rivalry series at Bulldog Field. A&M will look to avoid a second sweep in an attempt to finish the regular season on a high note.
