HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The 2023 schedule for the Alabama A&M women's soccer team has officially been released and will feature 18 regular season matches, including nine conference games, and seven games at home.
Head coach Prince Borde will begin his first season at the helm of the Bulldog program and aims to continue to improve with the returners and newcomers he has added to the roster.
Alabama A&M will host Motlow Community College for a preseason exhibition at Bulldog Field on Thursday, Aug. 10 at 5 p.m. to start the year, while the regular season will begin on Aug. 17 with a trip to Jacksonville State for the season-opener for both programs.
Following the matchup against the Gamecocks, the Bulldogs remain on the road for four more matches to start the year, including trips to face South Florida (Aug. 24), Troy (Aug. 31), Northwestern (Sept. 3), and Little Rock (Sept. 10) to close out the five-game stretch on the road.
A&M hosts its first of seven home matches at Bulldog Field on Fri., Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. against UT Martin from the Ohio Valley Conference. After road games against Charleston Southern and Howard on Sept. 16 and 21 respectively, the Bulldogs will host Chicago State in their lone other non-conference matchup at home on Sept. 24.
The Bulldogs open SWAC play on Sept. 29 on the road against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, followed by a matchup with Grambling before home conference dates against Southern (Oct. 6) and Jackson State (Oct. 8).
They will then will also visit Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 13) and Alcorn State (Oct. 30th) for the last two games of the road portion of the 2023 SWAC schedule, before closing out the regular season with a trio of home matches against Prairie View A&M (Oct. 20), Texas Southern (Oct. 22), and rival Alabama State (Oct. 27).
