NASHVILLE, Tenn. | Justin Walker and Briana Cox etched their names into the Alabama A&M University track and field record books during the opening day of the Vanderbilt Invitational on Friday at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility.
 
Walker broke the record with a jump of 7.49m as the Bulldogs claimed three of the top four spots in the long jump. Joshua Graham placed second at 7.26m and Lance Powell finished fourth at 7.02m.
 
Cox broke her own school record in the weight throw, finishing third, with a toss of 16.92m.
 
WOMEN'S TRACK EVENTS

• In the distance medley relay, the team of Minka Isom, Tamjah Scriven, De'Ajene Johnson and Sanyae Gibson placed 10^th, logging a time of 13:27.60 

WOMEN'S FIELD EVENTS

• In the weight throw, Briana Cox broke her own school record, with a toss of 16.92m to claim third
• Amber Jamison finished 10^th in the unseeded long jump, with a leap of 5.43m
• In the long jumped seeded event, Miahna Harden claimed seventh at 5.94m

MEN'S FIELD EVENTS

• Justin Walker (7.49m), Joshua Graham (7.26) and Lance Powell (7.02m) finished in the top four in the long jump
• In the weight throw, Ezekiel Salama placed seventh at 16.47m
