NASHVILLE, Tenn. | Justin Walker and
Briana Cox etched their names into the Alabama A&M University track and field record books during the opening day of the Vanderbilt Invitational on Friday at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility.
Walker broke the record with a jump of 7.49m as the Bulldogs claimed three of the top four spots in the long jump.
Joshua Graham placed second at 7.26m and
Lance Powell finished fourth at 7.02m.
Cox broke her own school record in the weight throw, finishing third, with a toss of 16.92m.

- Amber Jamison finished 10th in the unseeded long jump, with a leap of 5.43m
- In the long jumped seeded event, Miahna Harden claimed seventh at 5.94m
