MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University men's and women's track & field teams completed the final day of the Montevallo Falcon Classic with several top performances at the UM Track and Field/Lacrosse Stadium on Saturday.
WOMEN'S TRACK
- Amya Joy won the Heptathlon with 4,296 points as she won the 100m hurdles, high jump, long jump, while second in shot put, third in 200m, javelin and 800m
- Laura Avila won the 1500m, posting a time of 4:49.98, while Sanyae Gibson and Brianna Samuels were second and third, respectively at 4:52.13 and 4:52.91
- Minka Isom was seventh in the 1500m, logging a time of 5:12.53
- Chelsea Whitehurt captured gold in the 100m hurdles, recording a time of 14.55
- In the 400m, Alisha Wilson won the event, crossing the line in 54.10, while Kennedy Hill was fifth in 59.93
- Laila Gaynor finished second in the 100m, posting a time of 11.92
- In the 400m hurdles, Jaila Woodruff won the event, posting a time of 1:07.87
- Sanyae Gibson captured first in the 800m, with a time of 2:18.86
- In the 5000m, Neveah Carrizal placed ninth, with a time of 19:11.80
- In the 200m, Shelby Sanders finished sixth at 24.97, while Alisha Wilson (25.26) and Mariah Lofton (25.51) were eighth and 10th
- The 4x400m relay teams of Laila Gaynor, Brianna Samuels, Shelby Sanders and Alisha Wilson won the event, with a time of 3:42.34, while the second team of Chelsea Whitehurst, Minka Isom, Kennedy Hill and Sanyae Gibson placed second at 4:01.99

- In the 1500m, Juan Osorio claimed the bronzed, registering a time of 4:02.89
- Kody Pugh claimed silver, posting a time of 48.57 in the 400m, while Xavier Turner was fourth in 49.58
- Joe Quez Keith won the 100m, logging a time of 10.58
- In the 400m hurdles, Nathan Anderson placed second at 54.94
- Juan Osorio just missed a Top 3 finish in the 800m, taking fourth in 1:57.28, while Korede Otusajo and Eric Brannon were seventh and eighth at 1:59.34 and 1:58.71, respectively
- The 4x400m relay team of Korede Otusajo, Joe Quez Keith, Nathan Anderson and Sherman Lattimore took second at 3:14.55, while Evan Hayes, Zachary Cooper, Juan Osorio and Caleb Roberts were fourth at 3:31.16.
