BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University men's and women's track & field teams concluded the final day of the UAB Spring Invite on Saturday at the UAB Track & Field Complex with several top performances.
WOMEN'S TRACK
- In the 400m, Brianna Samuels posted a personal-best time of 55.29 to claim third
- Mariah Lofton finished fifth in the 100m, recording a time of 12.10
- Amya Joy placed ninth in the 100m hurdles, logging a time of 15.62
- In the 800m, Minka Isom finished seventh, posting a time of 2:21.28
- Shelby Sanders logged a personal-best time of 1:04.15 to claim fourth in the 400m hurdles, while Jaila Woodruff was sixth in 1:06.70
WOMEN'S FIELD
- Leah Brown finished second in the discus, posting a mark of 42.98m, while Karley Malveo was eighth at 36.38m
- In the high jump, Amya Joy placed seventh, logging a jump of 1.52m
- Akira Coleman finished second in the triple jump at 11:53m
MEN'S TRACK
- Kody Pugh registered a time of 49.31 to place seventh in the 400m
- In the 100m, Sherman Lattimore finished fifth, posting a personal-best time of 10.68, while Jahson Gordon logged a time of 10.91 to take seventh
- Xavier Turner recorded a time of 1:55.74 to place fifth in the 800m and Korede Otusajo finished eighth, with a time of 1:56.12
MEN'S FIELD
- In the pole vault, Corey Harris finished sixth, posting a jump of 4.25m
