TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Senior Fatima Ramirez paced the Alabama A&M volleyball team (3-13, 1-3 SWAC) in its 3-0 loss to Florida A&M (12-5, 4-0). Ramirez led the team both offensively and defensively, tallying 11 kills, 12 digs and one block.
Grace Tapscott tallied 10 assists and one service ace, followed by Laela Price with nine. Kemora Coachmen led the Bulldogs in service aces, with two.
Florida A&M was led by Brookelynn Thomas, who tallied 14 kills, hitting a .545% in the matinee match. Brooke Lynn Watts followed right behind her with 13 terminations, 11 digs and five aces. Alexandra Koleva recorded 33 assists in the Rattler win.
The Bulldogs perpare for a mid-season non-conference match against the Chattanooga Mocs on Tuesday. The Maroon and White look to level the series with Chattanooga this season, as the two teams met in the final match of the Betty K. Austin Invitational, where the Mocs claimed the match 3-0.
