BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M University freshman hurdler Ana-Liese Torian was selected the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women's Track Co-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
 
Torian, who is the school record holder in the 60m indoor hurdles, is pushing the AAMU record early this outdoor season in the 100m hurdlers. On Saturday at the Alumni Bulldog Relays, hosted by Mississippi State, the Homewood, Ill. native posted a new personal record to finish second in 13.34.
 
Torian shares the weekly honor with Prairie View A&M's Asjah Harris. Lyric Love, of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, was named the SWAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Alabama A&M returns to action on Friday and Saturday at the UAB Spring Invite at the UAB Track and Field Facility.
