BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Talil Atkins won the 400m to highlight several top performances on Saturday during the UAB Spring Invite at the UAB Track and Field Facility.
Atkins won the event with a time of 49.06 as teammates
Brian Johnson finished seventh in 50.32 and
Isaac Jackson claimed ninth in 50.56.
On the women's side,
Shakiera Woods placed third in the 100m hurdles, while Olivia Anderson was third in the 400m.
WOMEN'S TRACK EVENTS
- Shakiera Woods placed third, logging a time of 14.39, in the 100m hurdles
- In the 400m, Olivia Anderson finished third at 58.15
- Victoya Smith placed fifth in the 100m, with a time of 11.85
- Smith claimed the sixth spot in the 200m, logging a time of 24.36
- In the 800m, Minka Isom finished fourth, registering a time of 2:21.37

- The Bulldogs placed three inside the top 10 in the 400m as Talil Atkins won the event, logging a time of 49.06
- Brian Johnson finished seventh (50.32), while Isaac Jackson (50.56) claimed ninth
- In the 100m, Jahson Gordon placed third, logging a time of 10.78, while Atkins claimed seventh in 10.96
MEN'S FIELD EVENTS
- Lance Powell finished second in the triple jump at 14.08m, while teammate Miles Jones placed seventh, with a leap of 12.78m
