HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University women's tennis team, winners of three out of its last four matches, breezed to a 4-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) victory over Mississippi Valley State on Wednesday afternoon at the AAMU Tennis Courts.
Alabama A&M (3-5 overall, 3-1 SWAC) claimed the doubles point in just 12 minutes. The Bulldogs won at No. 3 by default and the team of
Ntokozo Zungu and
Ariadna Ondo Cerezo defeated Jacqueline LeFlore and Toni Carter, 6-0, at No. 1.
The Bulldogs completed the sweep with wins at No. 5 and No. 6 by forfeit and at No. 1 as Zungu led LeFlore, 6-0, after the first set. The match ended when LeFlore retired.
