JACKSON, Miss. | The Alabama A&M University women's tennis team began Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Pod play on Saturday afternoon with a 4-1 loss to Florida A&M at the JSU Tennis Courts.
Alabama A&M (3-6 overall, 3-2 SWAC) fell behind 1-0 as Florida A&M won the doubles point.
The Rattlers stretched their lead to 3-0 with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
Alicia Owegi picked up a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Reagan Harris at No. 6, closing the gap to 3-1, but Florida A&M was too much and sealed the win at No. 4.
