HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University baseball team had its final home game against Jackson State canceled with two outs in the top of the first inning as lightning and heavy rain halted play at the Bulldog Baseball Field.

Alabama A&M, which celebrated Senior Day on Friday afternoon, was closing out its three-game Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series on Saturday.

With two outs in the top of the first inning and a runner at first, the game was halted due to lightning.

After a two-hour delay, the game was called off due to heavy rain and field conditions.

Alabama A&M ends its season at 13-38 overall and 9-20 in SWAC play. Jackson State (33-18, 16-12) is the No. 4 seed in the SWAC Baseball Tournament, which begins next week.
