Sanyae Gibson captured Gold to highlight AAMU's final day of the 2024 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at A.W. Mumford Stadium.
Torian, who ran 13.45 on Friday to qualify for the finals in the 100m hurdles, won the event on Saturday in 13.47.
Gibson fell to fifth early in the 5000m, before storming back to win the event on the final lap, surpassing Teresa Gallegos, of Alcorn State, with a personal record of 19:15.50.
A day after breaking a 36-year-old conference record in the decathlon,
Brandon McLaren went back to work, setting a personal record in the pole vault at 4.09m to place fourth.
