STARKVILLE, Miss. | The Alabama A&M University women's tennis team dropped it's first match of the season to Southeastern Athletic Conference (SEC) opponent Mississippi State University on Friday evening.
The host team quickly claimed the doubles point, winning 6-1 on court one and 6-2 on the middle court.
The Maroon and White could not overcome Mississippi State in singles play, as MSU swept six straight singles matches to claim the 7-0 victory, though Hannah Nagpall nearly forced a third set at six singles, falling 7-6(4) in the second frame.
