MEMPHIS, Tenn. | Kelani Talakai recorded a match-high 13 digs as the Alabama A&M University volleyball team concluded its non-conference slate on Wednesday night with a 3-0 loss to Memphis at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.
Memphis completed the sweep with scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 25-23 to earn the victory.
Alabama A&M (14-5) finished with 28 kills, 42 digs, 27 assists, g.0 total team blocks and three service aces.
For the second consecutive match,
Nisaan Martinez paced the Bulldog offense with 10 kills, three assisted blocks, one service ace and one dig.
Briana Smith dished out 15 assists, along with four digs, one service ace and one assisted block, while Talakai added 13 digs and two assists.
Memphis (10-11) finished with 42 kills, 51 digs, 37 assists, 9.0 total team blocks and six service aces.
Zaniah Hoskins led the Tigers with a double-double of 12 kills and 11 digs, while Jasmyn Tate chipped in 10 kills and 12 assists. Madelyn Bach handed out 17 assists, while Taylor Hampton recorded 11 digs.
