TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Rayishon Jackman finished one dig shy of a double-double as the Alabama A&M University volleyball team got back into the win column by completing a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) sweep of Florida A&M, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon from the Al Lawson Multipurpose Center.
Florida A&M took the opening set, 25-18, but Alabama A&M tied the match with a win in the second set, 25-20. The Bulldogs rallied in the third, trailing by as many as 12 (15-3), to win 26-24 and claimed the match with a 25-22 victory in the fourth set
Alabama A&M (16-9 overall, 7-5 SWAC) finished with 52 kills, 50 digs, 50 assists, 9.0 total team blocks and eight service aces.
Jackman was a force offensively for the Bulldogs, hitting .298 and registering a match-high 19 kills, along with nine digs, three service aces and two assists.
Fatima Ramirez and
Nisaan Martinez each added seven kills.
Briana Smith and
Kaydee Smith handed out 24 and 18 assists, respectively, and Kelani Talaki led the defense with 13 digs.
Florida A&M (8-16, 6-7) finished with 51 kills, 51 digs, 47 assists, 12 service aces and 3.0 total team blocks.
Farah Farooq led the Rattlers with 15 kills and two digs. LaDonna Trantham posted a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs, while Sydney Whitfield tallied 11 kills. Makenzie Taylor dished out 41 assists and Dylan Hoskins chipped in nine digs.

Alabama A&M returns to action next Sunday (Nov. 9) as the Bulldogs play host to Jackson State. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m. from T.M. Elmore Gymnasium and streamed on Bulldogs All-Access.
