BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | For the third consecutive week, an Alabama A&M women's basketball student-athlete has earned Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) weekly honors. Senior guard Kalia Walker earned SWAC Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Walker averaged 19.5 points in the pair of victories over the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Mississippi Valley State this past weekend, including 9-of-10 from the foul line. Walker is top five in the conference in four categories. The Alexander, Arkansas native is second in the SWAC in scoring, second in free throws, fourth in three-point percentage and second in three pointers per game.

Walker earned her first league award in week four when she earned Impact Player of the week before garnering Player of the Week in week seven.  AAMU's Lauryn Pendleton earned SWAC Player of the week in week 13 after pacing the Bulldogs in the victories over Florida A&M and Bethune Cookman in the Sunshine State. Alisha Wilson earned Impact Player of the week in both week 13 and week 14.

The Bulldogs will play their final pair of home games on Thursday and Saturday against Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman respectively. Thursday's contest is set to start at 6 p.m. and will serve as the Play4Kay game. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer. Tip-Off for Saturday's Senior Day double header is scheduled for 2 p.m. with the senior recognition to commence between both games. Fans are encouraged to wear black.
