BIRMIGHAM, Ala. | For the fourth consecutive week, an Alabama A&M women's basketball student-athlete has earned Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) weekly honors. Senior guard Kalia Walker earned SWAC Player of the Week for the third time this season and second week in a row.

Walker averaged 19 points over the final two home games of the season. She shot 48 percent from the field and leads the Maroon and White in both points and field goal percentage. The Alexander, Arkansas native recorded five three-pointers in the slim 7-67 victory over the Florida A&M Rattlers.

Walker was named SWAC Player of the Week in week 15 after she averaged 19.5 points in the pair of victories over the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Mississippi Valley State. Walker is top five in the conference in four categories, including second in the SWAC in scoring, second in free throws, fourth in three-point percentage and second in three pointers per game.

Walker earned her first league award in week four when she earned Impact Player of the week before garnering Player of the Week in week seven.  AAMU's Lauryn Pendleton earned SWAC Player of the week in week 13 after pacing the Bulldogs in the victories over Florida A&M and Bethune Cookman in the Sunshine State. Alisha Wilson earned Impact Player of the week in both week 13 and week 14.

The Bulldogs face in-state conference rival Alabama State on Saturday at Noon in Montgomery. The contest will be live streamed via HBCU Go.
