ATLANTA, Ga. | Dre Amaral had a pair of hits as the Alabama A&M University baseball team dropped the series finale to Georgia State, 10-0 in seven innings, on Sunday afternoon at the GSU Baseball Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Georgia State (9-2) struck for one run in the bottom of the first inning.
Kaleb Freeman opened the frame with a walk and moved to second on a Michael Maginnis base hit to left center. Carter Bailey scored Freeman with a single to left, giving the Panthers the early lead.
GSU doubled the advantage in the fourth as John Beverley ripped a one-out triple to left center and came across to score when Maginnis reached on an error.
The Panthers broke the game open in the sixth, scoring five runs and adding three more in the seventh for a commanding 10-0 lead.

- Alabama A&M (2-9) finished with two hits, one error and left five on base
- Dre Amaral went 2-for-2, with a pair of singles
- Avery Seaton (0-1) pitched 4.1 innings to take the loss as he gave up three runs on five hits, with four walks
- Bryce Dolce, Raymond Clark, Vincent Latimer and Jordan Nolley pitched in relief
- Georgia State finished with 10 runs on 10 hits and stranded 10 on base
- Ross Norman (2-1) earned the win in six innings of work. He scattered just two hits (both to Dre Amaral) and fanned eight
- Jake Hembree pitched one inning in relief

Alabama A&M has its 2025 home opener on Tuesday as the Bulldogs welcome UT-Martin. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. from the Bulldog Baseball Field.
