TAMPA, Fla. | Eric Barker had a big opening day at the USF Alumni Invitational, hosted by the University of South Florida, on Friday and Laila Gaynor wrapped up the weekend with a big finish on Saturday in the season-opening meet for the Alabama A&M University outdoor track & field teams.
 
On Friday, Barker finished eighth in the 400m hurdles, posting a time of 51.97. On Saturday, it was Gaynor's turn as she recorded a ninth-place finish in the 400m dash, with a time of 54.33.
