BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Desmore Joseph drove in three as the Alabama A&M University baseball team got back into the win column on Tuesday by exploding for 13 runs in a 13-3 win in eight innings over Miles College at Rickwood Field.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
Alabama A&M (8-16) picked up one in the bottom of the first inning to grab a 1-0 lead.
Â
Trey Rutledge led off the frame with a double to center and
AJ Anderson drew a walk.
Kylan Duncan bounced into a fielder's choice as Anderson was out at second as Rutledge stopped at third.
Wilmer Cuevas was hit by a pitch to load the bases.
Desmore Joseph walked as Rutledge scored.

Miles (16-12-1) picked up one run on two hits in the top of the third, tying the game at 1.

The Bulldogs broke the 1-all tie with a run in the bottom of the fourth.

With one out in the inning, Joseph doubled to right center and advanced to third on a base hit to left by
Dre Amaral.
Isaac Castro worked a walk to load the bases.
Angel Rivera brought across Joseph with a sacrifice fly to center.

Alabama A&M added one more run in the fifth as Anderson began the frame with a double off the wall in left and Duncan drew a walk. Both runners advanced a base on a sacrifice bunt by Cuevas and with two outs, Anderson scored on a wild pitch to give the Bulldogs a 3-1 advantage.

AAMU pushed across three runs on three hits in the sixth, stretching the lead to 6-1.

With one down,
Braxton Brogan singled through the left side and moved to second when Anderson drew a walk. Duncan loaded the bases with a bunt single and Cuevas followed and reached on a fielder's choice as Brogan was out at the plate. Joseph brought Anderson across with a walk and Amaral delivered the big hit, a single to center, scoring Duncan and Cuevas.

The Bears closed the gap to 6-2 with one run in the top half of the seventh.

Alabama A&M answered in the bottom of the frame.

Miles Jackson walked with one out and advanced to second on a balk.
Emmanuel Perez singled to left, scoring Jackson from second. Perez came across on Duncan's bloop single to right center and Cuevas followed with an RBI base hit to right center as the Bulldogs struck for three runs, extending the lead to 9-2.

Miles grabbed one run in the top of the eighth, closing the gap to 9-3. Â

Back came the Bulldogs in the bottom of the inning, striking for four runs, to put the game away.

- Alabama A&M finished with 13 runs on 14 hits, committed one error and left 11 on base
- Kylan Duncan went 3-for-5, with two RBI and two runs scored
- Desmore Joseph was 2-for-4, with three RBI and one run scored

- Charles Morris started on the rubber for the Bulldogs, giving up one run on two hits, fanned two and walked one in three innings

- Miles finished with three runs on five hits and stranded eight on base
- Bryan Cruz worked four innings and gave up two runs on three hits, with three walks and one strikeout
