KOHLER, Wis. | The Alabama A&M University men's golf team played the Irish Course during the second round at Whistling Straits on Tuesday, slipping four spots to seventh at the PGA Works Collegiate Championship.
Alabama A&M came into the second round just one shot back of Southern in the second spot, but the Bulldogs carded a 19-over par 307 to fall to seventh place with a 612.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff carded a 5-under 280 and is in full control of the field by 17 strokes, with a 571. North Carolina A&T State (588) jumped six spots to second, followed by Texas Southern (592), Prairie View A&M (594), Southern (595) and Chicago State (602). Tennessee State is eighth with a 614, and Maryland Eastern Shore rounds out the nine-team field with a 618.
Lukas Lange dropped is tied for 18th after a second-round 5-over 77, while
Kourey Patterson had the best round for Alabama A&M, shooting 2-over 74 and is tied for 22nd. He recorded two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine and posted two bogeys on the back nine.
Niall Bagnall is tied for 27th with a 153, while
Samuel Boddie is tied for 32nd, with a 156.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff's Jose Berenguel fired a second-round 8-under-par 64 (135) and leads the field by six strokes as teammate Jules De Reu is second with a 141.
