SUWANEE, Ga. | Lukas Lange shot a 2-over-par 73 during Monday's opening round of the 40
th Annual Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Invitational at Laurel Springs Golf Club.
Lange, who recorded five bogeys and three birdies, sits four shots back of leaders Camilo Marin (North Carolina A&T State) and Hershal Patel (North Carolina Central). Marin and Patel carded 69s during Monday's round.
Vicente Rodriguez shot 4-over 75 and is tied for 13
th, while
Samuel Boddie carded a 78 and is tied for 27
th.
Noa Tissot is tied for 29
th after registering a 79 and
James Fujita is tied for 36
th.
Kourey Patterson rounds out the individual scoring and is tied for 39
th.
Alabama A&M shot an opening-round 305 and is tied for fourth with Chicago State. North Carolina A&T State leads the eight-team field with a 293. North Carolina Central is right on their heels, shooting a 294. Arkansas-Pine Bluff sits in third, just three strokes back, with a 296. Southern (308), Jackson State (311) and Texas Southern (311) round out the team scoring.
