THE HILL | Brea Bailey's goal in the final minutes lifted the Alabama A&M University women's soccer team to a 2-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) victory over Southern on Sunday afternoon at the Bulldog Soccer Field.
Alabama A&M (4-7 overall, 1-1 SWAC) struck first as
Layla Griffin's shot found the lower corner, giving the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead in the 34
th minute.
The Lady Bulldogs (4-7-0 overall, 1-1-0 SWAC) broke the 0-0 tie in the 33
rd minute when freshman

But the Bulldogs answered in the 88
th minute as Bailey broke past the Jaguar defense and slid the ball past Southern goalkeeper Madison Underwood and into the empty net for the go-ahead goal.
