BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M University outside hitter Rayishon Jackman and setter Briana Smith earned Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) weekly volleyball honors, the conference announced on Wednesday.
 
Jackman, who was selected Co-Newcomer of the Week, played 10 sets in the 2025 Betty Austin Invitational and earned all-tournament honors after averaging 4.05 points, 3.4 kills and 2.0 digs per set against South Carolina State, Morgan State and Delaware State. She finished the three matches with 34 kills and 20 digs. The Taipei, Taiwan native registered 17 kills and hit .278 in a four-set victory over South Carolina State to open the Betty Austin Invitational.
 
Smith, who earned Co-Setter of the Week honors, also played 10 sets in the Betty Austin Invitational, averaging 6.9 kills per set as Alabama A&M went 2-1 to finish second in the tournament. She posted 29 assists, along with seven digs and two kills in the four-set win over South Carolina State.
 
Jackman shared the honor with Jackson State's Shelby Zanders. Smith shared the Setter of the Week accolade with Prairie View A&M's Tayler Ruffin. Alabama State's Jyirah Morgan was selected the SWAC's Offensive Player of the Week, while Bethune-Cookman's Sthefany Carvalho earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.
 
Alabama A&M (3-1) returns to action on Saturday as the Bulldogs play host to Miles College. First serve is set for 10 a.m. from T.M. Elmore Gymnasium.
