THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University volleyball team will open their 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference season with the Betty Austin Invitational on The Hill, as head coach Dr. Brandon Reeves announced the conference schedule on Thursday morning.

The Bulldogs start their non-conference slate by competing at North Alabama. They will then begin tournament play by participating in the Georgia State Tournament before heading to Chicago, Ill. to face Bradley, Southeast Missouri State, and Loyola-Chicago in Loyola Classic. Following behind, AAMU will set sights on traveling to Miami for matches against Jacksonville State, Central Michigan, and Florida International in the FIU Tournament. The Bulldogs will return home to host Tennessee State on Sept. 22.

AAMU will start conference play facing Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M on Sept. 25 and 27 on the road. Alabama A&M will return to The Hill for a mid-season conference match against rival Alabama State on Oct. 2 before heading to Texas to face Prairie View A&M and then Texas Southern on Oct. 9 and 11.

The Bulldogs then begin a three-game homestand in Elmore Gymnasium by welcoming Miles College on Oct. 13, Jackson State on Oct. 16, and Mississippi Valley State on Oct. 19.

Alabama A&M will round out the month of October with a pair of road contests, traveling to Montgomery to play Alabama State for the second time on Oct. 21 and then on to Grambling to face Grambling State on the 23 followed by a match against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on the 25. The Bulldogs will come back on Oct. 30 to host Bethune-Cookman as well as Florida A&M on Nov. 1.

The final round of away conference matches of the 2026 season will come by way of the Bulldogs traveling to JSU and MVSU on Nov. 6 and 8.
 

In the final regular season home competitions AAMU will take on the Southern University Jaguars on Nov.13 and the Alcorn State Braves on Nov. 15.
