NASHVILLE, Tenn. | Alabama A&M University women's sprinter
Laila Gaynor continued her strong to the indoor season as she placed third in the 400 meters on Saturday during the final day of the Vanderbilt Invitational at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility.
Gaynor logged a time of 54.47 in the 400m to claim the third spot and added to that mark in the 4x400m relay as the team of
Kennedy Hill, Gaynor,
Alisha Wilson and
Brianna Samuels finished third behind Vanderbilt and Alabama State, registering a time of 3:45.23, which was two seconds off the school record.
Also, Samuels registered a 12
th-place finish in the 800m, and was just three seconds off the school record, with a time of 2:14.31.
