BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University women's tennis team fell to Samford, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Center.
Samford secured the early advantage by capturing the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. Despite a strong effort from Alabama A&M, the host Bulldogs carried that momentum into singles competition to extend the lead.
In singles play, the Bulldogs competed across the lineup, highlighted by a tightly contested three-set battle that was decided in a 10-6 final-set tiebreaker. Alabama A&M continued to fight point-for-point throughout the afternoon, but Samford was able to secure straight-set wins and close out the match.
