BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M women's basketball guard Kalia Walker added another milestone to an already impressive season, earning Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) All-Tournament Team honors following her strong performances during the conference tournament.
Walker, who has been a consistent leader for the Bulldogs throughout the season, once again delivered when it mattered most. Her ability to score, create opportunities for teammates and control the tempo of the game played a key role in Alabama A&M's postseason run.
Walker elevated her performance during the SWAC Tournament, averaging 19.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game.Â
During the 2025–26 season, Walker has been one of the Bulldogs' most reliable contributors, averaging 14.3 points per game while shooting 40.9 percent from the field and 33.1 percent from three-point range. She has also been efficient at the free-throw line, converting 86.8 percent of her attempts, while adding 2.9 rebounds per game.
Her impact has extended beyond the box score. Walker has consistently stepped up in key moments throughout the season, helping Alabama A&M secure important conference victories and maintain offensive momentum in tightly contested matchups.
One of Walker's standout performances came during the postseason when she delivered a 31-point effort against Florida A&M, showcasing her scoring ability and leadership on the floor. The performance highlighted her ability to elevate her game on the biggest stage.
"I just want to give thanks to my teammates and coaches as well as AAMU," said Walker.
Under head coach Dawn Thornton, Walker has continued to develop into a dynamic playmaker and leader for the Bulldogs. Her selection to the SWAC All-Tournament Team reflects both her individual talent and the impact she has had on Alabama A&M's success this season.
