BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M University junior
Vicente Rodriguez was selected to the 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Golf Second Team, the conference announced late Sunday.
Rodriguez ranked seventh in the conference standings and has played 21 rounds this season. The El Dorado Hills, Calif. native has recorded four Top five finishes this season, including posting a third-place finish at the Arcis HBCU Championship and SWAC Fall Tournament.
Joining Rodriguez on the second team was Marshall Blake Mendez (Prairie View A&M), Kenneth Melendrez (Prairie View A&M), Timur Alalin (Arkansas-Pine Bluff) and Miguel Ilias (Florida A&M).
Florida A&M had three players named to the first team - Phalatphon Viboonviriyasakul,
Sascha Robinson and Emilio Garcia, while Alabama State occupied the other two spots - Wesley Bairros Rocha and Robert Woods.
Alabama A&M competes in the 2026 SWAC Men's Golf Championship April 13-15 at the Robert Trent Jones Trail at Oxmoor Valley in Birmingham, Ala.
