Boddie Leads Alabama A&M Through Two Rounds of Jaguar Fall Invitational

AUGUSTA, Ga. | Samuel Boddie sits inside the top 10 individually as the Alabama A&M University men's golf team completed the opening two rounds of the Augusta Jaguar Fall Invitational on Monday at Forest Hills Golf Club.
 
Alabama A&M enters Tuesday's final round in eighth place after posting a 15-over-par score through 36 holes. The Bulldogs opened the tournament with a 14-over round before responding with a 1-over performance during the second round.
 
Host Augusta leads the 10-team field at 17-under after rounds of 2-under and 15-under. High Point sits three shots back in second at 14-under, while Belmont (+1), Western Carolina (+6) and Francis Marion (+9) round out the top five.
 
Boddie paced Alabama A&M with a 1-under 143 through the first two rounds and is tied for ninth on the individual leaderboard. He opened with a 1-under 71 before shooting an even-par 72 in the second round.
 
Amad Gardner made one of the Bulldogs' biggest moves of the day, bouncing back from a 3-over 75 in the opening round with a 3-under 69 during the afternoon session. Gardner enters the final round tied for 15th at even-par 144.
 
Griffin Burns is tied for 48th at 8-over 152. After opening with a 9-over 81, Burns responded with a 1-under 71 in the second round.
 
Michael Song is tied for 61st at 13-over 157 following rounds of 75 and 82, while James Fujita is tied for 65th at 14-over 158 after rounds of 81 and 77.
 
Kourey Patterson, competing as an individual, is 53rd at 9-over 153. Patterson carded an opening-round 81 before improving by nine shots with an even-par 72 in the second round.
 
Augusta's Chapman Barnett, competing as an individual, and Pieter Rossouw share the individual lead at 7-under 137. High Point's James Hassell and Jace Duckworth are tied for third at 6-under, with Francis Marion's Chan Lee fifth at 4-under.
