THE HILL | AJ Anderson went 2-for-3 and drove in four runs as the Alabama A&M University baseball team used a four-run third inning and didn't look back as the Bulldogs picked up an 11-6 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) victory over Jackson State on Saturday at the Bulldog Baseball Field.

Jackson State (18-23 overall, 8-12 SWAC) jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a run in the top of the second inning, but Alabama A&M answered in the bottom half as Anderson scored on a infield hit by KJ Stanfield, tying the game at 1.

The Tigers scored three runs on four hits to grab a 4-1 advantage in the third.

The Bulldogs (9-36, 3-17) responded with four runs in the bottom half of the frame to take a 5-4 advantage.

Alabama A&M plated one run in the fifth and two more in the seventh for an 8-4 lead.

Jackson State pulled within 8-6 with a pair of runs in the eighth, but again the Bulldogs answered in the bottom half.

Anderson began the inning with a walk and scored on a two-run homer by Keondre Fields. Stanfield walked and came around to score on a Jackson sacrifice fly to left, giving the Bulldogs a commanding 11-6 advantage.

Anderson finished the day with two hits, three runs scored and four RBIs, while Jackson went 2-for-4, with a pair of runs scored.
