BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M senior outside hitter Rayishon Jackman has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Jackman continued her strong start to the season with another productive performance for the Bulldogs. Against Kennesaw State, she recorded eight kills on 20 attacks with a .250 hitting percentage. She also contributed seven digs, one service ace and one block, finishing the match with 9.5 points.
Opening the season as the SWAC Volleyball Preseason Player of the Year, Jackman picked up where she left off as she has contributed to 84.0 points for the Lady Bulldogs while providing a spark defensively with 59 digs last season. Following a 5-1 week in action, Rayishon Jackman adds her first weekly honor of the season.Â
Jackman and the Bulldogs will return to action today against Bradley University at 4 p.m. in Chicago, Ill.Â
