AAMU Professional Men’s Basketball Report: January 29

Alabama A&M has 13 former men's basketball players who are currently playing professional basketball
 
Garrett Hicks (played in 2019-23, plays pro in Georgia) led RASHI to a victory over the closely-ranked Iverioni (4-6) 88-81 in the Georgian Superleague in Saturday night's game. Hicks, who was named the MVP, scored 15 points and three assists  in 29 minutes. Hicks is averaging 19.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals in eight games.

Obie Trotter (played in 2002-06, plays in Iceland) could not help Hottur (4-11) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his very good performance, the bottom-ranked Hottur was defeated 110-101 on the road by Njardvik. Trotter posted 25 points, going 8-for-8 at the free-throw line. He is averaging 15.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.9 steals per game.

Xavier Brewer (played in 2022-23, currently in Switzerland), who plays in the Swiss NLB (second division) was not able to help Wallabies (10-5) in their last game. Despite his very good performance, the Wallabies were edged, 66-63, at home by Levaux. Brewer, who is averaging 22.2 points, 8.9 boards, 1.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game, registered 17 points and seven rebounds in 34 minutes.
