Bulldogs Fall to Blazers in Birmingham

A&M drops to 4-6-1 on the season

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Alabama A&M softball team dropped two games to the University of Alabama-Birmingham on Tues. Feb. 24 at George Ward Park. The Bulldogs fell 8-0 in the first contest and 15-2 in the second game. A&M drops to 4-6-1 on the season while UAB improves to 4-8. The Bulldogs will host Miles for a doubleheader on Feb. 26. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.

In game one, the Bulldogs could not get things going on the offensively as they allowed six Blazer runs in the third inning.

Chantelle Statham scored A&M's first run of the afternoon in the second game. Adrienne Jackson added another run in the fourth, but the Bulldogs could not fully diminish the deficit established by UAB. Re'Quincia Mack went 2-for-2 with a run batted in. Hali Bui recorded the only other hit for A&M.

The Bulldogs will look to get back on track when they host Miles on Feb. 26 at 1 p.m.
