In the first game of the series on Friday, A&M was unable to get things going - recording only one hit for the entire game. The Braves took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third and never looked back as ASU cruised to the 11-0 win.

The Bulldogs regrouped for their Saturday doubleheader matchup, and took an early 1-0 advantage heading into the top of the second. In the bottom of the third, Hali Buie rounded the bases as Corissa Deadwyler drove her home for the second Bulldog run of the game. A&M scored three runs in the fifth for a commanding 5-0 lead. Alcorn answered in the top of the sixth with a run. Hurns' grand slam in the bottom half of the frame gave the Bulldogs four runs for the 9-1 final.

Hurns went 2-for-3 at the plate with five RBI and two runs scored. Re'Quincia Mack went 3-for-4 with three runs. Buie was a perfect 3-for-3 at the bat with a run and a RBI. Krissy Miles, Ebony Thomas, and Chantelle Statham also scored for A&M.

In the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, Alcorn struck first with a seven-run first inning. The Bulldogs didn't respond until the fourth inning when Deadwyler and Buie rounded the bases to put A&M on the scoreboard. Alcorn scored again in the top of the fifth for an 8-2 advantage. The Bulldogs rallied to score five runs in the bottom half of the frame to chip away at the Brave advantage for an 8-7 score. ASU countered the rally with three runs in the top of the sixth. A&M did not respond, as the Braves scored another run in the seventh for the 12-7 final.

Mack went 2-for-4 with a run scored and three runs batted in. Deadwyler went a perfect 4-for-4 with a run and a RBI.
