BIRMINGHAM – The Alabama A&M softball team dropped a pair of games in the Inaugural Hibbett/Easton All Alabama Classic on Friday. The Bulldogs fell 16-0 to the University of South Alabama and 17-0 to Troy University.
A&M (0-2) picked up a strikeout from starting pitcher Cassandra Brown versus South Alabama.
In their second match of the day the Lady Bulldogs recorded three hits versus Troy University. Nicole Norton, Jasmin Riley and Nikkea Rembert each posted their first hits of the season. Vanessa Kersten recorded four strikeouts in five innings of action.
The Maroon & White continues play on Saturday facing Jacksonville State at 11 a.m. and the University of Alabama at 1:30 p.m.
