Lady Bulldogs Fall to Prairie View

Alexandria, LA -- The Lady Bulldogs almost pulled off a magic trick to get past Prairie View A&M on Friday, April15.

The #3 doubles team made up with a volleyball player and a sprinter from the track team played as well, no, better than expected and almost provided the Maroon & White with the one win needed to get the doubles point.  In the end, however, the experience of the Lady Panthers would end the Lady Bulldogs tournament run.

"Christa Rodgers and D'Arnca Bloodworth played their hearts out for us today," coach Colvin said. "They gave us a chance."

The Lady Bulldogs, playing short-handed this season, were almost forced to win the doubles point to have a chance in singles to finish with a win.

"We beat the Lady Panthers in the first round of last year’s tournament.   Coach Colvin stated. “John Cochran (the PVAMU head tennis coach) has a much better and more complete team this year. They were the better team today."
