A&M Softball Falls in Doubleheader

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 NORMAL - The Alabama A&M softball team dropped a pair of games on “The Hill” on Tuesday, falling to the Panthers of Eastern Illinois University 8-0, in five-innings, and Kentucky State University, 4-2. The Lady Bulldogs fall to 3-10 overall on the year.

In game one the Panthers, of Eastern Illinois scored nine runs off of 11 hits with a pair of runs in the first and second innings to clinch an 8-0 win.
A&M had a bases-loaded situation in the bottom of the first, but was unable to get any runs across.

The Panthers took the game out of the Lady Bulldogs reach on a grand slam by Bailey O’Dell in the second inning to extend the lead 7-0.

In the second game of the day, the Maroon and White jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third inning with a two RBI single from Samantha Cain. Jasmine Riley and Nicole Norton scored on the play.

However, KSU scored on a solo home run in the third inning by Brittney Flores and errors by the A&M defense gave the Green and Gold the 4-2 advantage. The Lady Bulldogs last at bat came in the seventh inning, but the game was called due to darkness.
