Lady Bulldogs to face No.1 Chargers

NORMAL – The Lady Bulldogs softball team will play in-town rival the University of Alabama-Huntsville on Wednesday evening, playing the first-ever game under lights at the Charger Softball Complex.

First pitch for the doubleheader is scheduled for 5 p.m.

The Lady Bulldogs own a 3-4 mark on the year, while the Chargers hold a 13-2 record.

Alabama A&M visits UAH after picking up a 5-2 win over North Carolina A&T its last time out – a victory that snapped a two-game slide.

As a unit, the Lady Bulldogs hit just .186 on the year, and the squad owns just four extra-base hits – all doubles.

Raven Grubbs paces the squad with a .364 average, while Fayesha Ward leads with four RBI’s.

Receiving the most time in the circle has been Anisa Britt who has a 5.64 ERA in four appearances – three starts – while posting a 2-2 record.
