A&M Shuts out Alcorn State

Box Score The Alabama A&M softball team scored only one run in its matchup with Alcorn State on Friday afternoon. That run proved to be enough as the Lady Bulldogs shut out the Lady Braves, in Lorman, MS.
 
With the win A&M improves to a 9-18 overall record 4-7 in the conference. Alcorn falls to a 7-30 overall and a 2-9 record in the league.
 
Anissa Britt pitched all seven innings and allowed seven hits, while striking out two batters.
 
DeaRancilio suffered the loss for ASU.
 
Both teams played solid defense, with only two errors during the contest. Each team totaled seven hits.
 
Nicole Norton scored the only run of the game in the fourth inning after she singled to get on base and scored on a Shaquille Morris single.
 
The Maroon and White will return to action Saturday, April 14, to complete the three game series. First pitch is set for 12:00 p.m.
