Softball Battles Jackson State

NORMAL - The Alabama A&M University softball team will play its last games of the season on the road, with a three game series against SWAC rival Jackson State University on Friday and Saturday, April 27-28 in Jackson, MS.

The Lady Bulldogs will take the field under the lights with a single game on Friday starting at 6 p.m.

A&M will finish the regular season series on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the JSU Softball Complex.

Win or lose the stage is set for the 2012 SWAC Softball Championships. With the sweep of Alcorn State, the Lady Braves were officially eliminated from postseason consideration. The Maroon and White will head to Irondale, Ala. to compete for the SWAC title May-10-13. This is the first time since 2007 and under head coach Nedra Brown the Lady Bulldogs have advanced to post season play.
