AAMU and JSU Split in Double Header

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 JACKSON - The Alabama A&M softball team bounced back to take the second game of the three game series, 5-2 from Jackson State.

Jackson State won the first game of the double header 5-0 earlier in the day.

The Maroon and White improved its record to 12-21 overall and 7-9 in the conference. JSU ended the day with a 29-26 overall mark and a 12-4 conference record.

Brianna Ziegler led AAMU's offense with four hits, a run and two RBI's. As a team the Maroon and White smacked ten hits on the day.

Cassandra Brown picked up the win in game two. She pitched all seven innings and allowed only six hits, while striking out seven batters.

A&M is scheduled to play Grambling State in Grambling, La on Sunday, April 29.

This is a make-up contest from the SWAC round-up that was rained out earlier in the season. First pitch is set for 11 a.m
