Soccer Travels for Two

Normal- The Alabama A&M women's soccer team will hit the road this weekend to take on a pair of Western Division Southwestern Athletic Conference foes.

Over the weekend, the 0-13-2 Lady Bulldogs will face the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-11-1) and Grambling State (0-4-2). Both teams are currently winless in SWAC competition this season.

Up first, the Maroon & White will face the Lady Golden Lions of Pine Bluff in Arkansas. Last season saw UAPB top A&M twice on the year by identical 2-1 score lines; first in Huntsville during regular season play, and second during the conference playoffs, ending the season for the Lady Bulldogs.

This season, UAPB enters the game on a three-game losing streak in which they were outscored 13-2 and the visiting squad will look to use that to their advantage.

This contest will take place on Friday, October 18, at Pumphrey Stadium on the campus of UAPB and is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.

After facing the Lady Golden Lions, the Lady Bulldogs will head to Grambling, La to take on the Grambling State Lady Tigers. GSU has played only six games on the season, and are winless on the year.

Standing at 0-4-2, the Lady Tigers have been outscored 27-1 with the lone goal coming off the foot of Jemila Davis.

Action versus GSU will take place on Sunday, October 20, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on the campus of Grambling.
