Tremaine Shepherd

Year: Senior

Position: Defensive back

Hometown: Miami

High School: Miramar High School

Family: Mother Sharon Escoffery, father Eric Maynard.

What do you want to do with that? Coach. "What I really want to do is play in the NFL, but I want to have a back-up. And I want to be able to give back."

What were you listening to today? Young Jeezy

Favorite movie: Goodfellas

Ideal celebrity date: Zoe Saldana

Must-see TV: The Game

Most embarrassing moment: "Fifth grade, at lunch, I was walking my tray to the garbage disposal and fell in front of everybody. I just got up and left my tray there."

Favorite athlete: "Some of the guys I grew up that weren't able to play college football. Corey Tate and Marcos Archer. Growing up the things they used to do were phenomenal. Marcos made one-hand coaches. Corey was like a man-child."

If you could trade places with somebody for a day, who would it be: "My mom. Just to take some of the heavy burden off her and give her a break. Just going to work every day she doesn't have any time off for herself and when she does, she goes to see my grandfather, who has Alzheimer's Disease."

What car do you drive?: "I don't have a car on campus, but I have a car in California, a 2007 Charger?"

Who has the worst car on the team?: "The worst car, hands down, goes to Conard Johnson. I call it a 'soda-can car.' The nickname explains it all. It's small and when you knock on it, it sounds like a can."

Coach says: "Shepherd is a good football player, a good kid. He understands football. He works at it. He enjoys the game. Every week he gets better and he likes the challenge. He knew last week was going to be a big challenge and he rose to the occasion (with two interceptions)." - head coach Anthony Jones
