A&M Softball on the Road to Face Austin Peay

NORMAL, Ala. – Alabama A&M University's softball team will be making a short trip to Clarksville, Tennessee to face the Governors of Austin Peay University, on Wednesday, February 27th at 12 p.m. at Cheryl Holt Field.

Senior Jasmine Riley picked up where she left off last year at the plate, hitting at a .333 clip against Jacksonville State. Freshman Meaghan Gray also had a solid weekend at the plate with a .333 batting average, including her first collegiate hit.

The Lady Bulldogs are 0-2 on the season.     
                        
Austin Peay comes in with a 3-3 record, after its season-opening weekend at Auburn University's Plainsman Invitational.

Laurel Burroughs recorded five hits in seven at bats, this past Saturday, at Trevecca Nazarene University with a .714 batting average. All five hits went for extra bases, including three doubles, a triple and a home run.

Lauren de Castro has an era of 1.0 for the Lady Govs. In three appearances de Castro has won two games, and struck out 14 batters.
