Lady Bulldogs Tennis defeats UAPB

Normal- During the second tennis round up of the season, the Maroon & White women’s tennis team defeated the Lady Golden Lions of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff 5-2.

The Eastern round up took place on the campus of Alabama State in Montgomery, Ala. and was the second round of conference play for the SWAC tennis programs.

During the two-day competition at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center, the Lady Bulldogs faced Jackson State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Grambling. A&M went 1-2 on the weekend, with a victory over UAPB splitting losses to JSU (5-2) and GSU (4-3).

The Maroon & White’s 5-2 victory over the Lady Golden Lions helped them improve to 3-12 on the season, and 2-3 in conference play.

The A&M tennis squads will return to the courts on Wednesday, April 3^rd when they take on the University of North Alabama.
