A&M Softball Searching To Break Losing Streak

ITTA BENA – Mississippi Valley scored all seven runs in the fifth inning and Natalia Covarrubias led Valley with three hits and helped the Devilettes to a doubleheader sweep of Alabama A&M on Saturday afternoon.

MVSU, who is now 7-2 in conference play, defeated A&M 7-0 in the first game and 8-0 in the final game on the day. 
Brianna Zeigler, Jasmine Riley and Meaghan Gray each had one hit for the Lady Bulldogs.

In the final game, Valley put up six runs in the fourth inning.

With the victories, the Devilettes sit in second place in the SWAC Eastern Division.  With the two losses A&M drops to 11-23 overall and 4-10 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
