Former Alabama A&M OL Jamaal Johnson-Webb signs to Bears' practice squad

The Original Story

An abrupt ending quickly turned into a new beginning for former Alabama A&M offensive lineman Jamaal Johnson-Webb.

The first Bulldog ever invited to the NFL's draft combine back in February, Johnson-Webb was cut by by the Arizona Cardinals, the team which signed him as an undrafted free agent, when they made their final roster cut, locking in their 53-man roster Saturday.

Today, The Chicago Tribune reports the two-time first-team All-SWAC choice has signed a deal to join the Chicago Bears as a member as a member of the team's practice squad.

The 6-foot-6, 306-pounder is the only offensive lineman on the Bears' eight-man practice squad. The team is carrying four tackles on its regular season roster.
